Funds of Funds
For those clients wanting a diversified investment or pension portfolio and who either don't want or warrant, due to portfolio size, discretionary fund management, we offer our own funds of funds.
Authorised by the Financial Services Authority, our Balanced Portfolio and Growth Portfolio (independently managed by 1st Port Asset Management) are diversified, collective investment vehicles. Both have access to all UK unit trusts, OEICs and a number of offshore funds, including some which may be closed to new money, giving them an extremely broad investment spectrum from which to select.
As we were involved in the establishment of the Portfolios and appointed the investment adviser, we monitor their performance and any changes made are in line with the underlying agreed parameters against appropriate benchmarks. The fund of funds approach can give a client’s portfolio a diversified exposure to different markets, without the dealing cost of purchasing different funds directly as these are paid out of Portfolio charges.
